DRINK THE NEW WINE OF GRACE

‘Jesus said to the servants, “Fill the jars with water”; so they filled them to the brim. Then he told them, “Now draw some out and take it to the master of the banquet.” They did so, and the master of the banquet tasted the water that had been turned into wine.’ (John 2:7-9a, NIV)

‘Take me away with you—let us hurry! Let the king bring me into his chambers. We rejoice and delight in you; we will praise your love more than wine. How right they are to adore you!’ (Song of Songs 1:4 NIV)

Chuck Pierce was in my dream last night. We were sitting in a roundtable with other ministers. He was so excited about the wine of the Holy Spirit. He started listing off different kinds of wines. He leaned over to me and asked, “Do you like drinking wine?”

I said, “Of course I do!”

That is when I noticed some religious people sitting in that circle who had never really partaken in the new wine. They looked at me upset because they heard that I drank wine. But Chuck was excited about me drinking the wine.

I have known a lot of people who don’t drink the new wine even though they have been in church and around revival for a long time. People will replace the wine of the Holy Spirit with counterfeits that they understand.

People become religious overnight. Religion is something that can be understood. You have expectation in religion. There will be a service on ‘Sunday. There will be 30 minutes of worship. You will then have to listen to the jokes of the pastor and his anointed team for 20 minutes before you hear the pastor talk about the same things you have heard him talk about for the last few years. There will be an offering and some cake and tea at the door and then you can go about the rest of your week in normality.

There is some good stuff in consistency but when formality replaces wine don’t be surprised when people start manifesting depression and anxiety. We have to have intimacy with the Holy Spirit. There is no substitute. We have to touch the heart of the father and let His love and glory wash over us.

There are different kinds of wine in the Spirit. I have tasted so many. There is the joy of the Lord. There is the deep peace of God. You can feel the fire of healing or deliverance. You can enter into visions and revelations. You can bubble up in the glory and be lost for hours at a time. One worship song can be played a hundred times and it feeds your spirit more than you ever expected. There are sounds in the glory that carry you like a surfer across many rough waters.

We must expect to taste the wine of His presence. Don’t let the religious mindset top you. Don’t let people who don’t understand stop your intimacy with the father. Jesus came to turn the water into wine. He came to change your identity from the old man to the new man. The new man experiences a glory that the old man can never understand.

I think this dream is about expectation. We must expect the wine to come in this season and different kinds of wine. Chuck started naming the different wines in the dream. Some sounded like old established wines and others had a newness to them. I believe that the wines of the generals is about to be released. New anointings and new prophetic gifts will begin to shift the body of Christ into a new hour and day.

My expectation is that there will come a great move of the Holy Spirit that has not been seen in a long time. People are about to encounter their personal upper room experiences. Have you been filled with the presence? Have you experienced a true manifestation of the wine of the Lord? Have you been filled with the joy and peace of His Presence? If you have not it is available. Just linger a little longer.

Church is fine. Nothing wrong with it, but the Presence is much better. Just seek Him until you find Him and when you find Him you won’t have to ask if you found Him. You will know. Your entire being will be surrounded by the presence, the wine of His glory. Taste and see that the Lord is good. Just drink at the well a little longer.

And why do you want to drink the Presence of God because it heals, delivers and sets you free. Your greatest joy is your greatest healing and that only ‘comes from the Holy Spirit. The things that keep you down today will not bother you tomorrow. Drink of His presence and watch you worries go away.

I pray for you today and ask the Lord to give you a new encounter. May this new wine be poured out. May every oppressive spirit that tries to stop you from entering into the wine be pushed out and may you easily fall into the glory like a diver into the sea.
