Mammon is standing at the gate - You will Overcome

When we come to Jesus and we say yes there begins a very exciting journey of faith. It does not mean that you will not wrestle with challenges.  The wrestling is how our faith grows.  We meet the challenges and we ask God to show us his blueprint to overcome.  Whenever God speaks there is victory, so it is important to seek Him through the trials and struggles that come.  As we involve the Lord things become easier to manage a

nd we will always have the victory.

God speaks in many ways.  Sometimes it is a simple whisper to our spirit but then there are times it feels like He is shouting.  We get dreams and impressions.  Prophetic people speak to us.  Things pop up in front of us which we can’t discount.

The last number of months for me have been a challenge.  I am in a tent season - a temporary place in the spirit where in the natural it seems my resources are running out, but this contradicts what the Lord has been saying in the spirit all my years of serving Him.

Many years ago, I had a dream that I was being promoted into the army of the Lord. It was not a low position that He was offering me.  He gave me a rank of a commander and brought me into the war room of the drunken generals where there were maps laid out on a table.

If you are feeling "squeezed" by the circumstances of your life—if your heart feels gripped by a "Hand of Scarcity" or if you are living in a "tent" while dreaming of a new horizon—you are not lost. You are in a season of transition. The journey of faith is rarely a straight line; it is a series of "War Room" assignments where our natural sight is challenged by our spiritual rank. To navigate this, we must learn to trust that the father who calls us is also the father who funds the journey.  He is the one that will give us a map to help us navigate to victory.

In that dream there were many generals and they were drunk in the spirit.  I have come to learn in the spirit realm we have the victory.  Our natural man may wrestle but our spirits is filled with joy because when we fight with the blueprint of heaven we are assured of the victory, because the Lord is the author of victory.I was given a uniform and was asked to sign a contract.  I hesitated because I was worried that if I was a man of war then I wouldn’t be near my family.  My great-grandfather was a merchant marine in WWII, and he spent many years away from his family.  I wasn’t excited about this prospect for my own life, but everything begins with a "Yes." There is a moment in every believer's life where God asks them to sign a contract, which is a place of total surrender. For many, the hesitation is rooted in home and family. We worry that enlisting in God’s deeper purpose will mean being "away" from our responsibilities.

But the first secret is this: When you sign God’s contract, you aren't leaving your home; you are securing its defense. God equips those He calls with a "Spiritual Uniform." This is not a burden; it is your Spiritual Rank. You are being promoted to a "Watchman." Habakkuk 2:1 says, “I will stand at my watch and station myself on the ramparts; I will look to see what he will say to me...”

I had another dream, perhaps 20 years ago now, where I met the father on a path in heaven.  He looked at me and told me to go to the Treasury of Heaven to secure enough resources for my journey.  When I entered the room the Spirit of Mammon rose against me like a giant hand that wanted to crush me.  To me this represents all the lies and concerns of this world.  It can include thoughts of poverty and lack.  We all wrestle with these sorts of things, but God can bring the victory.

God doesn't just call you to get by, but He invites you into His treasury. In the spirit realm, the treasury represents the unlimited supply of grace, favor, and resources. However, there is often a gatekeeper at the door—a spirit of fear or lack that tries to crush your confidence.

When you encounter resistance, you must use the authority of the Word. In my dream I saw the spirit of Mammon coming at me and I pointed my finger at it and said, “The father said I shall have enough for my journey.”  I learned that when you point the finger of faith and remind the enemy of what the father has promised, the "Crushing Hand" must lose its power. It is transformed from a threat into a companion. Provision in the Kingdom is a Living Force that walks with you.  He gives His angels charge over you.   As Philippians 4:19 says, “And my God will meet all your needs according to the riches of his glory in Christ Jesus.”

In February 2025, I had a very strong directional dream.  An angel appeared to me and said, “It is time to sale the house starting Monday.  I was dumbfounded because the Lord had commanded me to build that house 7 years prior.  We worked hard bringing it from an idea into a reality.  I saw the foundation poured, the walls built and we were the first to move into it.  It was a dream come true for my family.

But there comes a day when the instruction is clear: "Move on." For me, an angelic messenger made it simple: "This is just a house. It’s time to move." When God identifies something as "just a house," He is testing your detachment. He is performing a strategic extraction. He separates our identity from our current structures so He can expand our "Map." If you find yourself currently in tent mode - a temporary, uncomfortable season - do not panic. The tent is the Tabernacle of the wilderness. It is where you learn that the presence of God is your only true address. God’s timing is often precise, showing up in "one-hour miracles" that confirm His hand is on the clock.

For me the confirmation that I was doing the right thing was that without even knowing I put the house on the market on a Monday and the people who bought it saw it one hour later.  The Lord had told me to put it on the market on a Monday and that just happened to be the day it went up.  I didn’t plan it.  I just happened.

My house sold on a Monday one hour after it was on the market.  I had my Monday miracle.  This becomes my reminder as I am waiting for my transition.  God was with me then and did a miracle in one hour.  As I am waiting on my new season that seems to labor on, I have to remind myself that God did it in one hour before and He can do it again.  My one-hour miracle of my double portion will come because I have seen His map.The "Spirit of Mammon" is a thief that tries to govern the soul through the fear of "what is left." It attacks when you are tired and living in the. It wants you to look at your bank account until you forget your Blueprint.

A month ago, I grew very frustrated.  The Lord had given me a very strong prophetic blueprint of a season of double blessing.  I saw two houses that He wanted me to have.  One in Canada and one in the USA.  I was very excited because the confirmation came in so many ways.  There were prophetic words, I had dreams, other intercessors had dreams.  I was leaving my house, but the Lord was pointing to more.

I was so excited about the new season.  It wasn’t about the luxury of what was coming, but rather about what this meant for my assignment.  God was saying He had a plan for me in two nations.  My moment of frustration came six months after the house was sold and my resources were dwindling.  I looked at my bank account and tried to imagine how I was going to take care of my family for the next 35 years. Ridiculous I know, but that was where I was.  I saw my family as a liability rather than a blessing.  I was trying to figure out how I would take care of our parents in their old age.  I was trying to figure out how I would pay for our kids’ education.

In the natural I was filled with fear as the hand of Mammon was squeezing me.  I was forgetting my dream of the treasury.  I needed to point at that spirit and say, “The Father said I would have enough for my journey.”

In that moment everyone felt my frustration including my mother.  She started worrying about her future.  She went to bed that night and had an encounter.  She told me that I appeared to her in her room door in the spirit, and I said, “The money for our double portion season is being released.”  She was excited by this and I was excited, as I remembered all the promises the Lord had made in the months prior.  It helped me point my finger once again and say to Mammon, “Back off.”

You see, even while you are naturally frustrated, your spirit man is at work. There is a part of you that is already standing at the door of your future, announcing the victory. While your natural mind is worried about the "tent," your spirit man is already officiating the breakthrough. You must stop looking at the little that you think you have and start looking at the Treasury of Heaven.

As Matthew 6:24 says, “No one can serve two masters. Either you will hate the one and love the other, or you will be devoted to the one and despise the other. You cannot serve both God and Mammon.”  I declare over you today that the resources for your mission are not just "coming" in the spirit realm, but they have already come in.  It is done.  It is finished.  The Lord will bring the victory.  The generals are drunk because of the joy that is coming.  You are moving from the place of seeking to the place of possessing. As Deuteronomy 28:8 says, “The Lord will command the blessing on you in your storehouses and in all that you set your hand to...”

I will end this today by giving you a few prompts on what to do when you are waiting for your transition.

  • Trust the Prompt: If God says "Move," move. Do not over-analyze the "Four Walls." Your obedience unlocks the next door.

  • Point the Finger: When the fear of "how will I sustain this?" arises, point your finger at that fear and decree: "The Father said I was to have enough for my journey."

  • Acknowledge the Watchman: Recognize that God has given you a rank. You are not a victim of the economy; you are a legislator and have authority in the Kingdom.

  • Occupy the Tent: Rest in the temporary. A Commander doesn't panic during transport; he studies the map and waits for the coordinates to align.
